“My children have both attended Little Bears since they were babies, they have loved every minute!
The staff show kindness and are so caring. My daughter is due to start Reception in September and is already completing Reception work which is a credit the staff in Panda Room who have prepared her for this.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Little Bears. What I have loved the most is that stuff turnover is low (both of my children have been looked after by the same people) which is so lovely.
The nursery has developed so much through the years with new gardens, forest schools and new equipment through their excellent fundraising, they are a credit to themselves.”

“Our son joined Little Bears in January 2023 (following a period on the waiting list) and following a move from another local setting where he was visibly very unhappy and unsettled.
Little Bears and the entire team are truly First Class, excellent in every respect and Little Bears is entirely worthy
of being recognised as the best nursery on the planet!
From the very first day of attending Little Bears our son was more settled, playful and relaxed - his attitude towards nursery was totally transformed.
The first set of photos we received from the lovely team reassured us we had made the right decision and we are only sorry our son missed out on being there for the whole duration of his nursery care. Our son has thrived in Little Bears, hitting key milestones both in terms of EYFS and in terms of the care and affection he receives - Little Bears made potty training a breeze!
The team's attention to detail and their encouraging nature, together with giving children responsibility for being little helpers, nurturing their independence from a place of security, really brings out the best in the children and provides reassurance for parents.
The team takes a real interest in each child in their care and the love and care they receive is like home from home - this is evident in my son singing the nursery's songs at home at weekends, talking about his carers at bedtimes, and his desire to take pictures in as gifts. As parents this gives us great peace of mind. I have total faith in Little Bears and we remain impressed every day.
We can't praise or thank the team enough.”

“I will forever be grateful for the care Little Bears and the incredible team have provided for my son. When I started looking at nurseries, I found it incredibly difficult. I work in education and know how important a child’s first 4 years are for their brain development and growth. When I first walked around Little Bears, the first thing I noticed was how happy and smiley both the children and the staff were. I was definitely your typical first time mum who had a million and one questions and was worried that my son starting nursery would ruin his typical routine and hinder his growth and development. The managers; Beth and Aimee did everything they could do answer my questions and ease my worries and did not once make me think my questions were silly. They were incredible and set my mind and worries at ease immediately.
They made my husband’s and I’s decision very easy to send him to Little Bears.
Little Bears are incredible at updating myself on my son and his progress. Each day, through the Famly app they update what/when he has eaten, when he’s needed a nappy change and when he’s slept. As a busy, full time working Mum, it’s been a big weight lifted off my shoulders being able to have constant updates of my son throughout the day and knowing I can message the staff for further updates or if I have any questions/queries.
The progress my son has made is incredible; both academically and emotionally. He happily walks into the nursery with a member of staff, which as a parent, is the most important thing. To know my son feels happy, safe and secure. This is evident in the updates they provide and the observations they give as they describe the same cheeky little boy that we see at home. The depth they know each individual child and their interests and needs is incredible. He has attended the setting for 8 months and I have seen a huge improvement in his language. When he first started at just under a year old, he was behind his age related expectation for communication and language and since attending the nursery I have seen an incredible amount of progress. He has also shown more of an interest in playing different activities, for example reading stories, looking at picture cards and playing with toy animals. I am constantly amazed at how he comes home with a new animal sound he has learned. It’s brilliant to see how much of an importance they put on early reading, as evident in the books the children bring home from the setting to share with their grown-ups. The activities the staff members plan are always so engaging and in line with his progress and age related expectations. It is also lovely
to see how often they take the children out into the wider community.
I could honestly not recommend this setting enough. The love and care they show for each individual child and their family is incredible. They will do anything to help anyone. Thank you for everything you do for my family.”

“My daughter started attending Little Bears in May 2023. She is my first child so I explored a number of childcare options and toured a few nurseries before deciding on Little Bears. I have felt a lot better about returning to work full time knowing my child is there. All the staff are friendly and approachable and I regularly get pictures of my daughter during the day. Little Bears also send me posts on the Famly app so I can see what my child has been up to whilst she is there and how she has been in herself. Upon discussing this with work colleagues who have children in different nurseries, this is rare, as they get updates on activities weeks after the fact. My child started nursery at 9 months old and only cried for a few weeks at drop off which I think is a testament to the staff as she is obviously not afraid of being at day care.
They plan activities based on the weather which I appreciate as it means on nice days, my child isn’t stuck inside all day. I also appreciate that as my daughter is still young she is not made to be on a nap schedule as I do not have a strict routine at home.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Little Bears and would use them again if I had any additional children in the future.”

“My family have been attending Little Bears since September 2020. We chose Little Bears because they are a charity based Nursery and from all the research I did, they appeared to go above and beyond for the children in their care and for the community.

They have proven this time and time again. We are so grateful to all the staff for the efforts they go to in caring for our children. Our boys love Nursery. They talk about all the fun things they do and learn all the time at home. And they have built meaningful relationships with the team, especially my eldest son who is in Panda Bears. He genuinely loves the team and treats them like extended family. He’s gone from a shy boy into a happy, social and confident boy. The team have been a massive part of this transition.

He also starts reception in September. I genuinely feel very sad that he won’t get to see everyone every day. His transitional days at his new school have gone really well and he’s been super confident. This is thanks to all the preparation work Little Bears have done with him.
My youngest son was born during Lockdown and hadn’t had much of a chance to socialise with other Children, again Little Bears were fantastic in helping him develop his social skills and he is also thriving now.

Massive credit needs to be given to the work they do in the community. Fairs, discos, etc. It lovely that our children get the chance to experience these activities. They also have a station where people can help themselves to things such as baby milk, clothing, toys, etc. Life has been hard for so many over the last few years and it’s lovely to see them helping the community and children.”

“Little Bears have been looking after our children for the last 3 years in the Out of school/ holiday club. We love it!
My Eldest has moved to Secondary school this year so now it is only my youngerst that attends.
My eldest still looks forward to picking her up so he can go back and visit.
Our children have always been amazingly well looked after and are given a wide rage of activities to entertain and keep them occupied.
I am always greeted by happy children at pick up time, so involved in activities under the watchful care of staff that I struggle to get them home!! Plenty of outdoor time is available if weather favourable!
The staff are caring, considerate & committed.
This care, consideration & commitment is not only towards the children but also parents and the wider community
as can be seen with the pantry in the Foyer.
I am more than happy with the care provided and would highly recommend Little Bears.
My only disappointment is that I didn’t find them sooner.

“Making the decision to leave our children to return to work was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. Our children are our world, and only the very best will do for them, and that’s exactly what Little Bears is - the best of the best. Dropping them off, feels like leaving them with family. We know that they’re safe, we know that they’re cared for, we know that they’re happy. Little Bears Day Care is a
very special place filled with the most caring staff.”
